On Saturday 3 December, the Chamber Orchestra of Belgium has been invited to be the house orchestra at Klara classical music radio’s 'Iedereen Klassiek' (Everyone Classical). Live on Klara all day long from the Opera in Ghent! More info at www.klara.be .



On 25 October, Minister-President Kris Peeters was the guest of honour at the Chamber Orchestra of Belgium’s B(usiness) 2 B(eethoven) event, a concert in which culture and corporate life go hand in hand. The event was held in the malt loft at the Duvel Moortgat brewery in Puurs. After a tour of the company, the public was able to enjoy, among other things, a world creation for flamenco and string orchestra.

The Minister-President’s address focused on the importance of supporting culture from within the business world. Moreover, Minister-President Peeters was presented with the score of a musical piece written specially for him: 'Leadership Dynamics'.

Collaborations with the 'Vlaams Radio Koor' and 'Kinderkoor van de Vlaamse Opera'.

Music by Fauré, Beethoven, Mozart, Schubert or Vivaldi, but also by Albrechtsberger, Vaughn-Williams or Aparicio-Barberàn.

A concert with the Chamber Orchestra of Belgium to celebrate the start of our vacation, together with Radio Klara and its radio programme 'Espresso'. Some Mozart and Tsjaikovski in Brussels Airport departure hall. July 1st between 8 and 9h, also live on Radio Klara!

 

 

The Chamber Orchestra of Belgium has cooperated with Wayn Traub for the Festival of Flanders at the Handelsbeurs concert hall in Ghent.

For its next theatre project (September 2011), the Orchestra has recorded music by the internationally-renowned composer Michiru Oshima.

Rising talents Hans Vercauteren and Tobias Ertmann (students of renowned composer Wim Henderickx) had the opportunity to present their work and refine it further in some workshops together with the orchestra.

The Chamber Orchestra of Belgium has hosted some more workshops as a part of its 'Partnerships with Kids' project. This time, they took place in a school in Aalst.

In October 2010, the Chamber Orchestra of Belgium, conducted by Ben Haemhouts, recorded a DVD in cooperation with Alfacam/Exqi, which included Britten's Simple Symphony and Beethoven's 3rd Symphony.
